“Imprisoned letters” is a joint project of Typomania and the GULAG History museum. The four luminous pillars represent the letters of the Gulag slogans, inscriptions, newspaper logos. Behind each letter is pain and death. Each letter is accompanied by a label with a description and context.
The curator of the exhibition is Yegor Larichev, the designer is Anastasia Zhurba. The staff of GULAG History museum, who participated in the project: Roman Romanov, Elena Solozobova, Tatyana Polyanskaya, Ilya Udovenko.
After Typomania “Imprisoned letters” were shown at the Cannes Festival of Arts.
